Hello Maureen and Malcolm, very nice to hear from you both. I meet Maurice on several occasions, and did visit his shop but not sure which year it was. I am Albert's son so Maurice was my cousin. I have a copy of "The Life and Times of Maurice Clarke" which is very interesting. So thank you for getting in touch and glad that you found the site of some interest.

    Kind regards, Simon.

Hello I'm the youngest son ( now 68 years young) of Maurice and Margaret Clarke of Redditch. I once came to Halesowen with dad as a young man to meet his Uncle Bert. I'm glad dad has contributed to your site as I recognise his tiny hand writing on some of the family photographs. Best wishes to you all

I have enjoyed viewing your pictures online, my maiden name was Clarke my father was Maurice. Dad was very fond of Uncle Bert (Albert ) and I last saw him in 1973 at my dad's shop in Redditch. There are many Clarke's in Redditch, can you please let me know what relation Simon is to my late father, kind regards.

    Hello Alison,

Thanks for letting me know. Although I only met Christine a couple of times, it is always sad when someone passes away. Sad news indeed.

    Hi Laurel

Thank you for replying and I hope all is well with your Mom. I came across a couple of photos quite recently that she sent me of your wedding. Please let her know we’ve been thinking about her.

Thanks for getting back to us about her. I know Simon was concerned. I’ll let cousin Christine know.

    Regards

    Alison xx

    Hi Alison,

Thanks for searching, she just seems to have disappeared! A bit of a mystery and sad. Still, I will keep trying and should anything come up I will, of course, let you know.

    Regards for now

    Hi Simon

    Hope you are keeping well.

I did a few searches and nothing came up regarding Stephanie.

It must be so sad for you not knowing what happened. I can’t fathom out why her children didn’t go through her address book and contact you. It’s very sad.

    Regards

    Hi Simon

I’m very sad to hear this news. Christine and I did wonder if something had happened to her as we both sent cards to her at Easter and Christmas and she always replied with a nice letter.

I’m trying one more avenue and if I hear anything I’ll let you know.

    Regards

    Hello Alison,

I am sorry to say, but I do not know what has happened to Stevie. I last had contact with her in October 2018 or thereabouts. After that I had no response to email, text of voicemail messages I left for her Unfortunately, I have no contact details for her children. I did check the local newspapers for Banbury, but did not find anything. Sadly. I think she must have died.

    Regards

    Hi Simon
    Hope you’re keeping well.
How is Stevie keeping these days?
Cousin Christine and myself haven’t heard from her at all in a very long time and we were wondering if everything is ok.

    Regards

    Hi Simon

I haven’t got many family photos unfortunately, so I was very happy when I found these on here. Michael my eldest brother had the photos after Mom passed away I believe, and when Michael passed away nearly 6 years ago, my nephew had them. I’m still waiting for him to send the photos to me.

I’ll look forward to seeing the ones you add on here.

    Best Wishes

Hi Alison, yes I will be pleased to add a section for them. I have quite a few photos of Doreen, but only a few of Dennis and Dorothy. I will put what I have on, but if you have any you like to be included you could send me the scans. I will let you have my email address if you like to do that.

I will sort through the box of photos and make a start in the next week or so.

    Regards - Simon

Hi Simon, I’ve only just come back on here tonight to see if anyone replied to my message.

It would be lovely if you could add a section and photos about my Dad Dennis, also if you have any of Doreen and Dorothy - that would be fantastic.

    Hope you’re both keeping well.

    Best Wishes - Alison

Hello Alison, I created this site just in case it was of interest to anyone, so it was nice to read your message. I do not have a Facebook account, so unable to look you up. I would very happy to add a section about Dennis, if you would like that, photos etc.

Albert Henry Clarke was my Grandfather. My Dad was Dennis Henry Clarke.

Maurice Clarke was in touch with me for a number of years before he sadly passed away.

It would be lovely to see if any relatives are reading this message.

I am on Facebook under the name of Ali Dee Clarke.
